Hey everyone! We still have a few open spots for lightning talks if you're interested in presenting (12/4). Please let me know if you have something you'd like to talk about.
I would be more than willing to give a lightning talk about setting up a network wide ad blocker using a raspberry pi. I know it might be too late, but I figure it could not hurt to ask anyway.
That'd be awesome! Talks this year will be on 11/3 by the way.

Hi all, I am not sure if this is the right place to post this but I have having trouble reversing a single line of text within a file.
My Input: File.txt
cat File.txt
ONE
TWO
THREE
My desired output: Updated_File.txt
cat Updated_File.txt
ONE
OWT
THREE
Got it! please disregard the question
Glad you got it! How'd you end up solving it?
I'd also be interested in the solution. I can probably write a Perl one-liner for this but it'd take most of my morning.
I'd probably use Python or Lua, just because I value my sanity :)
Is it based on line number, or matching a pattern?
Not sure what kind of skill level we all have, but it just dawned on me - why don't we all try and make a bare-bones *NIX distro for fun? Could build off of LFS.
I think this would be a lot of fun. Not sure how much I can contribute to this but I'd be down to try. If more people want to do it, we could plan it out some during our next hang out meeting.
I'd also be down, but I'm also not sure how much exactly I could help. We can definitely talk about it this Tuesday.
Hello! and welcome to our new forum ^-^. In addition to our IRC room (on Freenode: #ncsulug) and our mailing list this BBS serves as a point of contact for NCSU LUG members to discuss past and upcoming meetings as well as Linux-y things, technology, and all sorts of everything else.
The hope is that we can use this site to stay in touch and discuss our meetups and events! There will also be a "voting" section added to the site soon where you can vote on the venues (like Mitch's, Slice of NY Pizza, etc. etc.) for the dinner meetings: if you'd like to contribute to the development or have any suggestions then let me know!
And always remember to check our main site for updates!
